Poziv na međunarodnu znanstvenu konferenciju: „Granice (ne)slobode: Zadarski krug 1966. intelektualna opozicija u totalitarnom društvu“
Povodom šezdesete obljetnice pokušaja osnivanja časopisa Slobodan glas u Zadru 1966. godine, pozivamo vas na znanstvenu konferenciju posvećenu istraživanju disidentstva, intelektualne opozicije i granica divergentnog mišljenja nasuprot službenoj ideologiji u komunističkoj Jugoslaviji. Ideja konferencije je analizirati konkretan fenomen zadarskog slučaja razloge i okolnosti njegove pojave, ali uz otvaranje komparativnih i transnacionalnih perspektiva. Stoga se očekuju doprinosi istraživanja disidentskih iskustava iz zemalja srednje i istočne Europe, iza Željezne zavjese, te Sovjetskog Saveza.
U Zadru se 1966. skupina intelektualaca različitih ideološki profila okupila s ciljem stvaranja prostora slobodnijeg promišljanja i komuniciranja. Najpoznatiji među njima postao je Mihajlo Mihajlov, a s njim su djelovali: Davor Aras, Marijan Batinić, Nikola Čolak, Tereza Ganza-Aras, Predrag Ristić, Leonid Šejka, Mirko Vidović, Franjo Zenko. Ovaj događaj predstavlja priliku za interdisciplinarnu raspravu o povijesnim, političkim, književnim i kulturnim aspektima nezavisnog mišljenja u totalitarnim režimima.
Konferencija će se održati u Zadru, simbolički povezujući mjesto događaja s aktualnim znanstvenim istraživanjima. Cilj je okupiti istraživače različitih disciplina kako bi se rasvijetlile dinamike disidentstva, uloga intelektualaca u društvenim promjenama te naslijeđe tih procesa u suvremenom kontekstu. Osim rekonstrukcije povijesnih činjenica, konferencija teži kritičkom propitivanju mehanizama kojima totalitarni sustavi redefiniraju pojam ‘slobode’ te kako se intelektualna misao snalazi u procjepu između ideološkog konformizma i etičkog otpora. Konferenciju organiziraju Sveučilište u Zadru, Odjel za povijest i Hrvatski institut za povijest.

- Povijesno književna perspektiva i valorizacija kulturnog rada disidenata.

Call for Papers for the international conference: “The Limits of (Un)Freedom: The Zadar Circle 1966. Intellectual Opposition in an Authoritarian Society”
On the sixtieth anniversary of the attempted founding of the journal Slobodan glas (Free Voice) in Zadar in 1966, we invite you to a conference dedicated to the study of dissidence, intellectual opposition, and the limits of divergent thinking in opposition to the official ideology in communist Yugoslavia. The idea of the conference is to analyze the specific phenomenon of the Zadar case, the reasons and circumstances of its emergence, but while opening comparative and transnational perspectives. Therefore, contributions from research into dissident experiences from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, behind the Iron Curtain, and the Soviet Union are expected.
In Zadar in 1966, a group of intellectuals of different ideological profiles gathered with the aim of creating a space for freer thinking and communication. The most famous among them was Mihajlo Mihajlov, and the following worked with him: Davor Aras, Marijan Batinić, Nikola Čolak, Tereza Ganza-Aras, Predrag Ristić, Leonid Šejka, Mirko Vidović, Franjo Zenko. This event presents an opportunity for an interdisciplinary discussion on the historical, political, literary and cultural aspects of independent thought in totalitarian regimes.
The conference will be held in Zadar, symbolically connecting the venue with current scientific research. The aim is to bring together researchers from different disciplines to shed light on the dynamics of dissidence, the role of intellectuals in social change and the legacy of these processes in the contemporary context. In addition to reconstructing historical facts, the conference aims to critically examine the mechanisms by which totalitarian systems redefine the concept of ‘freedom’ and how intellectual thought navigates the gap between ideological conformity and ethical resistance. The conference is organized by the University of Zadar, Department of History and the Croatian Institute of History.
