Scrinia Slavonica

The journal of the Branch for the History of Slavonia, Srijem and Baranja of the Croatian Institute of History, Scrinia Slavonica, is published once a year and publishes works dedicated to the history of Slavonia (in the modern geographical meaning of the term), Srijem and the Croatian part of Baranja. The journal seeks to constitute regional Slavonian history as a possible framework for systematic historiographical research. It is equally open to the publication of fundamental research studies, as well as synthetic or overview works and smaller units of relevant historical material. In addition, a certain space in the journal is also dedicated to works of broader theoretical and methodological topics, especially when they are relevant and applicable in specific regional research. Finally, through translations of articles and book reviews, an attempt is made to establish continuous monitoring of historiographical trends and interesting novelties in the countries in the immediate vicinity of the Slavonian region, Hungary, Serbia (Vojvodina) and Bosnia and Herzegovina, because these areas have been continuously encompassed by various sets of mutual connections and correlations over the past centuries, so the interests and results of their modern historiographies overlap to a significant extent (which does not mean that they coincide), making communication and mutual knowledge necessary, and cooperation and argumentative dialogue desirable.
Papers published in the journal Scrinia Slavonica are referenced and available in the following databases:
Historical Abstracts and Historical Abstracts with Full Text; European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences; Central and Eastern European Online Library; Portal of Croatian scientific journals HRČAK.
