Scientific Departments and Branches

The Institute’s scientific departments and branches are the basic internal organizational units of scientific activity at the Institute. The scientific departments and branches organize and carry out scientific and highly professional work in the field of historical science.

Within the scientific department, scientific activity is carried out primarily through scientific projects in which scientists and associates of the Institute are engaged.

The activities of the scientific department are also carried out:

  • organizing and coordinating scientific projects;
  • by organizing and participating in collaborative programs;
  • organizing and preparing applications for tenders for funding scientific projects and collaborative programs;
  • by systematically taking care of the needs for scientific infrastructure and equipment;
  • organizing scientific and professional conferences;
  • managing library, documentation and information services for the needs of scientists and associates in the scientific department;
  • preparation for the publication of scientific and professional periodicals related to the results of work on scientific projects;
  • preparation for the publication of scientific and professional books and monographs;
  • providing expertise and professional opinions.
