Access to information

The right to information pursuant to the Right to Access Information Act is exercised by submitting a request to the Croatian Institute of History using the following forms:

“In accordance with Article 5, paragraph 3 of the Act, “information” is any data held by a public authority in the form of a document, record, file, register or in any other form, regardless of the manner in which it is presented (written, drawn, printed, recorded, magnetic, optical, electronic or other record) .

A request for exercising the right to access information can be submitted:

  • by mail to the address: Croatian Institute of History, 10000 Zagreb;
  • by e-mail to the address: info@hipzg.hr (Note: only inquiries submitted pursuant to the Right to Access Information Act are received via this address) ;

To be valid, a request for access to information must contain:

  • name and seat of the public authority to which the request is submitted;
  • data that is important for identifying the requested information;
  • name and surname and full residential address of the natural person submitting the application, or the company, or the name of the legal entity and its registered office;

Incomplete requests cannot be submitted for processing.

The Croatian Institute of History strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Software Solutions for Mobile Devices of Public Sector Bodies of the Republic of Croatia (“Official Gazette”, No. 17/19; hereinafter referred to as: the Act) transposing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (OJ L 327, 2.12.2016). The content listed below is inaccessible for the following reasons:

  • Some of the images do not have a suitable description.
  • Some of the uploaded documents are not available in machine-readable form.
  • for content that requires a visual mode, no additional mode is provided that does not require the use of vision, no mode that reduces and/or increases the field of view, no contrast control is provided, no mode that does not require the user to recognize colors;
    The Croatian Institute of History is working to eliminate the observed inconsistencies.

Preparing this accessibility statement

This statement was drawn up on 17 September 2020, according to the Accessibility Statement Template, which is in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, and established by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523. The assessment of compliance with accessibility requirements is the result of a self-assessment by the Croatian Institute of History.
