The scientific departments and branches organize and carry out scientific and highly professional work in the field of historical science.<\/p><p>Within the scientific department, scientific activity is carried out primarily through scientific projects in which scientists and associates of the Institute are engaged.<\/p><p>The activities of the scientific department are also carried out:<\/p><ul><li>organizing and coordinating scientific projects;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>by organizing and participating in collaborative programs;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>organizing and preparing applications for tenders for funding scientific projects and collaborative programs;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>by systematically taking care of the needs for scientific infrastructure and equipment;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>organizing scientific and professional conferences;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>managing library, documentation and information services for the needs of scientists and associates in the scientific department;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>preparation for the publication of scientific and professional periodicals related to the results of work on scientific projects;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>preparation for the publication of scientific and professional books and monographs;<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>providing expertise and professional opinions.<\/li><\/ul><div>\u00a0<\/div><p>The Institute has the following Scientific Departments and Branch:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/research-department-of-medieval-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Scientific Department of Medieval History<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/research-department-of-early-modern-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Scientific Department of Early Modern History<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/research-department-of-modern-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Scientific Department of Modern History<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/research-department-of-contemporary-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Scientific Department of Contemporary History<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/research-department-for-historical-sources-and-digital-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Scientific Department for Historical Sources and Digital History<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hipzg.hr\/en\/branch-for-the-history-of-slavonia-srijem-and-baranja\/\" rel=\"noopener\">The Branch for the History of Slavonia, Srijem and Baranja<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scientific Departments and Branches The Institute&#8217;s scientific departments and branches are the basic internal organizational units of scientific activity at the Institute.
