After graduating, he worked for a short time in education, and from 1982 until his retirement in 2019, he worked at the Institute for the History of the Workers&#8217; Movement (today the Croatian Institute of History) in Zagreb. Since 1990, he has participated in the project &#8220;Establishment of the Party Monopoly 1945-1952&#8221;. He has collaborated and led various scientific research projects such as &#8220;Social Development of Croatia 1929-1971&#8221;, &#8220;Creation of the Republic of Croatia and the Homeland War (1990-1995-1998)&#8221; and &#8220;Croatia in the 20th Century: Modernization in Conditions of Pluralism and Monism&#8221;.
